Maybe you have tried CBD for your health, but did you know it can provide some of the same benefits for your dog? The flexibility and greatness that is CBD has started to find its way into products created for our pets. Research has shown that the endocannabinoid system is found in all mammals; humans and dogs.

What do dog owners say about CBD? According to a survey from The American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association (AHVMA) it is reported that 61.8% to 95% of pet owners surveyed endorsed the health benefits of CBD-laced treats.
Veterinarians have also found that if your dog is taking conventional medicines CBD may make it possible to use lower doses of the drugs to achieve the same effects. Since most conventional medicines have side effects this is another useful benefit of CBD.
Using CBD for pets is relatively new, so there is not a lot of clinical research to prove how effective CBD for dogs is. However, as mentioned above, dogs have an endocannabinoid system and that system has been studied in humans. Many pet owners have been very vocal about how CBD has helped their dogs (or cats). One of our own Canna Treehouse family's dog suffered from mild seizures and after using CBD they are 99% gone!
The CBD Dog products that are beginning to appear on the market are coming in the form of edibles, lotion, and oils. All these forms of CBD delivery have been proven to be safe for your dog. In rare occasions some dogs showed the following side effects:
Although these reported side effects are rare if your dog displays any of these symptoms you should stop giving them CBD.
Customers have been reaching out to us at Canna Treehouse asking when we were going to start carrying CBD products for pets. Since the demand was there, we started our search for a high-quality CBD pet product and we didn’t have to look far.
This is Maddie, and she offered to test some products for us! After testing and reading customer reviews we concluded that CBD is an excellent product for dogs and would be a great choice to add to Canna Treehouses’ lineup of products.
We have several options available, depending on your dog. For the picky eater, you can give them treats available in Peanut Butter Banna and Blueberry Cranberry flavors. We also have several tinctures, which you can add to food or give directly (one of our family dogs, takes his straight from the dropper). Tinctures allow you to better control dosing. If your dog likes to have her paws touched, you can use one of our newest products, a CBD pet balm that can help soothe sore paws or other external irritations.
We will continue to expand on the CBD pet products we offer because we want to provide our customers with a selection. This may take a little time because we only want to offer our customers the best. Also, the products we sell at Canna Treehouse are ones that we believe in and feel are very high quality. So we will be methodical and very selective in our search so when you see a new product come up on our store you will know it is quality.
